Intense windstorms are ravaging communities across the nation, putting millions of people at risk.

Meteorologists warn that dangerous gusts exceeding 55 mph could cause widespread power outages, coastal flooding, and catastrophic property damage.

In episode I highlight that in the face of this fierce onslaught, taking decisive defensive action is crucial to safeguarding lives and buildings.

The immense force of these raging winds can wreak havoc on buildings, tearing off roofs, shattering windows, and allowing destructive uplift forces to penetrate through even the smallest openings.

As the storm intensifies, the risk of irreparable damage escalates, leaving businesses and homeowners vulnerable to the unforgiving power of nature.

Fortunately, there is a solution that can provide long-term protection against the ravages of fierce winds: sealing all potential entry points with a proven, sustainable coating system that is guaranteed for 20 years.

For over 30 years Global Encasement Inc. has provided cutting-edge, green technology that can fortify buildings against even the most extreme weather conditions.

Their innovative fluid-applied coating flows seamlessly into gaps, holes, and open seams, creating an impenetrable barrier that seals out the damaging effects of wind uplift.

As the coating dries, it forms a durable, weatherproof seal that withstands the relentless onslaught of high winds, shielding the integrity of the structure.

This defensive measure not only protects against immediate storm damage but also safeguards against long-term deterioration caused by moisture intrusion and air infiltration.

By sealing the building envelope, Global Encasement's system ensures energy efficiency, reducing utility costs and minimizing the environmental impact.

These systems are not only a powerful defense against nature’s wrath, but they also work alongside it by being non-toxic, biodegradable, having zero to low VOC's (volatile organic content) and no ozone depleting substances.

In the face of escalating climate change and the increasing frequency of severe weather events, proactive measures like these are no longer optional – they are a necessity.

Failure to take action could result in catastrophic consequences, including loss of property, displacement, and even loss of life.

To Sum IT Up:

As the winds howl and the storm rages on, the time to act is now.

By investing in proven protective measures like Global Encasement, Inc’s Green and sustainable coating systems, businesses and homeowners can quickly fortify their properties against the onslaught of nature's fury, ensuring the safety and security of their loved ones and assets.

Don't wait until it's too late.

Embrace the power of simple defensive action and join the ranks of those who have chosen to stand firm against the forces of nature.

Take the first step towards safeguarding your property and protecting what matters most.

The three options of dealing with asbestos are removal, do nothing and the more practical, widely accepted method of in-place management. I’ll be examining the option of in-place management which is often the best choice for many projects.

The first time I heard about Earth Day was when I was in the eighth grade and my well admired and clever science teacher opened up a discussion on the cons of earth day stating it was some sort of liberal nonsense and a hoax. This agitated most of the class. He further stirred the pot by claiming that it didn’t matter how much pollution we caused, that the planet could take care of itself. He went on to say that the oceans were so vast and deep enough that we could go on dumping in them for hundreds of years and never have a negative impact. We could continue to let industry spew out pollutants into the air and never face any consequences. He was insistent that we could deposit waste where ever and how ever we wanted and that the earth and environment would, as if by magic, absorb it all.

Asbestos and lead-based paint – you know them well. They lurk in older schools, housing complexes, military installations and other buildings, waiting silently to inflict disease and sometimes death on their occupants. Today, asbestos-containing materials (ACM) are found in over 700,000 buildings in the United States, and loose, flaking, or peeling lead-based paint (LBP) is present in more than 72 million United States homes, schools, and other buildings constructed before 1978.

Every year damaging winds accompany hurricanes, typhoons and other strong wind events that leave a trail of destruction. Building and home owners are left with devastating huge building repairs and replacement costs. Some of these buildings can be salvaged and made stronger, defending against the next storm. Others are a complete write-off. It’s not unusual in all the destruction to see a building or house left standing with its roof and walls intact. This is usually a structure that is wind-resistant and better prepared to defend against a strong weather onslaught.
